Our Costa Rica Trip

Conventional wisdom is that you don't really know if you can spend the rest of your life with someone until you travel with them, particularly in a foreign country.  I guess the days on end of sharing transportation, lodging, meals, etc. is supposed to give you insight into who the other person really is.  In July 2005 we put our relationship to the test and headed to Costa Rica, neither of us speaking a lick of Spanish.  We learned that Chantal really does like keeping to a schedule and Curt can get sun burned in approximately 15 minutes without sunscreen.

After completing the Tarzan Swing
during our Monteverde canopy tour.
Curt awkwardly wet himself.
We lived it up with Squirt in a plastic bag.
Apparently, iguanas are good climbers.
Obligatory sunset shot in Tamarindo.
We were confused and picked this hotel
in Monteverde because we thought it was
called The Hotel LaFawnduh.
Curt had to cool off with his and
Chantal's drink at the Eco Termales
Hot Springs near Arenal.
After driving for 5 hours to Monteverde on
roads that make the moon look smooth,
Curt wept when he finally saw pavement.
After a great day sailing in Tamarindo.
One of those photos that seemed funnier
at the time.
Don't worry, I was a geography major.
No caption needed.
Us in an awkward picture in front
of the Arenal volcano.
